Unite here for you
As you may be aware Unite is currently running confidential consultative ballots in Building Services and Operational Services in response to our members anger at the unfairness at the introduction of a new random alcohol & drug testing policy which will only affect ” Safety critical” employees approximately 20% of council employees. The random testing will only apply to 5% of specific job families annually within West Lothian Council.
If ,Unite members return a strong mandate to reject this unfair policy then Unite will carry out our members wishes and seek authorisation to conduct a formal industrial action ballot.
